TERA Rising by En Masse

This video might be good for you to watch if you’re interested in the game.  It was the one Chocobo and I first watched when we wanted to find a new game to play the night of our one year anniversary.  Another video/updated version is this one.

Reasons why I play/like the game

• I automatically play any game Chocobo plays to be his Player 2
• It’s now free to play (F2P) and visuals are stunning
• Action MMO — it’s not just point and click or pressing hotkeys.  You have to aim correctly.  There are chain skill attacks. 
• You buy your skills, every even level (so every 2 levels).
• There are six races with 8 classes.  Classes are not gender locked.
• Each race has race-specific skills that range from HP/MP recovery upon death, moving speed, town teleports etc.
• People are very kind, generous, and helpful in chat and in battle
• You can have five? people in a party and even more in a raid
• Loading screens only occur when you enter instances or teleport to town.  This means you can move from a town to the field immediately.
• You can use your skills in town too
• You can customize your GUI
• Character creation gives tons of customization options
• Drops are pretty frequent
• There are cute animals!
• Not necessarily “linear” gameplay because you can hold off on main story quests to do zone quests (or you can travel to new towns entirely).
• For gameplay, think “Skyrim” minus choosing dialogue and being able to kill townspeople you hate

The cons:

• Download file is over 20 GB.  Once you download the “setup” portion and the progress bar passes the “playable” portion, the PLAY button will highlight and you may begin creating your character and playing the game as it continues to download the rest.
• You may only have two characters per server
• Minions that are hard to hit unless you have an AOE / really good aim
• No cross-level play/mentoring system
